Pres. Benigno “PNoy” Aquino III will deliver his State of the Nation Address (SONA) on July 22, 2013 at the Batasang Pambansa Complex in Quezon City, on which he will cite the accomplishments and objectives of his administration for this year
In his 2012 State of the Nation Address, Pnoy promised improvements in various fields, such as education, tourism and the economy.
This year, Pnoy has implemented the K-12 program, as suggested by the Department of Education (DepED) which replaced the basic ten year education system in the Philippines aiming to match the international standard.
The Department of Tourism launched the “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” campaign, which brought in more than four million tourists in 2013.
The economy grew by 7.8% in the first quarter of 2013, but this did not improve unemployment and poverty rates according to ABS-CBN news.
Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte told the Philippine Star that PNoy himself is “hands -on” in writing his 4th SONA.
People now look forward to hearing the President report to his “boss” for the fourth time.
